This past weekend we went down to Albuquerque to visit the Ben's sister Marybeth and her family and also to see the balloon fiesta! The balloon fiesta's been going on for many many years and Ben's been wanting to take us to see it. Wow, glad he did! What an incredibly unique event. This year set a world record for the number of balloons that were launched... 394! We went with several of Ben's high school friends and their families, and caught the first round of balloons go up around 6am. As you can see from the pictures, there are all sizes and shapes and the weather was absolutely perfect! We had a ton of fun catching up with the Barkocy family, and Brady couldn't get enough playtime in with his cousins Nathan & Brianna. We had such a good time that we are thinking about making this an annual event!
