We spent 4th of July here in Denver! To kick off the weekend, we had a bbq with the Ben's sisters family on Friday night. Brady had so much fun playing with his cousins Nathan and Brianna. On Saturday, the Jones family flew in from Orange County. What a great time it was seeing Rilynn and Brady (only 6 wks apart) play so well and it was such good quality time with Jen and Flip. We went to the Cherry Creek Arts Festival - which was blazing hot! We put the kids in the wagon and they were sweating like crazy... so Flip got a cooler of ice that they had fun playing with and cooling off. We had our nanny watch the kids one night so we could have an adult dinner that didn't include mac n cheese or hot dogs ;) On the 4th we hosted a BBQ at our place which turned out to be a nice gathering. It rained in the afternoon on the 4th which was actually nice to cool things down. The party was about done by 7pm since most of the kids are little and needed to get to bed, so we snuck into Brady's room around 9:30 to watch the fireworks (which both he and Rilynn slept through!) We caught up with Rachel (Jen and I's high school friend) and her 2 boys and mom which was fun; then explored Wash Park in the afternoon. We had dinner in Wash Park and had to follow it up with the infamous Bonnie Brae ice cream (see pics)...All in all it was a great weekend!
